This Position reports to:

Local Division Manager
 

Mission Statement: 

Drive initiatives and support sales organization in driving sales and business development initiatives of respective products by ensuring implementation of local product marketing strategies to meet business objectives. 

Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the subject matter expert for MV VFD systems across Canada, providing guidance throughout all project phases and ensuring compliance with global standards, regulations, and cybersecurity requirements.

  • Project Support: Deliver comprehensive technical support across the order life cycle—tendering, sales, engineering, and execution—to guarantee seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Solution Development: Define and implement solutions that meet customer requirements for performance, quality, and timelines; review simulations, designs, and test plans for accuracy and compliance.

  • Problem-Solving & Coordination: Address complex VFD issues with innovative solutions and collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to align specifications and execution strategies.

  • Market & Portfolio Management: Analyze market size, trends, competitors, and offering gaps; manage technical specifications and contribute to product roadmap, business cases, and cost-reduction initiatives.

  • Communication & Launch Support: Prepare market communication materials, support new offering launches, and keep internal teams informed on product updates, trends, and limitations.

  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Coach and mentor sales, engineering, and technical teams; ensure availability of training materials for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Sales Enablement & Representation: Provide sales support through technical presentations, customer meetings, trade shows, and drive technical solutions across the product portfolio to maintain pricing and profitability.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Electrical Engineering degree or Electronics college diploma with 10+ years of experience in Medium Voltage Variable Speed Drives (VSD); knowledge of PLC is an asset.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Canadian VSD systems, Switchgear, Transformers, Cooling Systems; familiarity with heavy industries (Cement, Mining, Oil & Gas, Marine) is an asset.

  • Skills & Competencies: Bilingual (French & English), proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform is an asset; demonstrates initiative, problem-solving, teamwork, and a strong sense of urgency and ownership. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis. 

  • Industry Knowledge & Adaptability: Ability to seek information, learn continuously, and support complex technical environments with professionalism and adaptability.
