A Strategic Role at the Heart of Logistic

Reporting directly to the Tech Vertical Director, Clients & Consumers, the Technical Product Owner, Business Applications will be responsible for developing the company's internal sales and client-facing solutions based on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment. 
 

Responsibilities 

  • Act as a main point of contact and reference on the assigned portfolio products across the organization – be seen as a problem solver, able to challenge and influence when needed 

  • Capture, document and prioritize product requirements with stakeholders from various other departments including Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing 

  • Maintain a healthy backlog of features for developers by assembling clear and precise backlog items for the team 

  • Orchestrate technical analyses with the development team to identify approaches to solving business problems and propose solutions in line with key design considerations 

  • Work closely with other teams in the vertical and across the development organization to ensure we're building the best products 

  • Provide visibility and guidance regarding the roadmap progress within the team, to management, as well as stakeholders 

  • Run Agile/Scrum ceremonies with leadership and a team-player mindset 

  • Form a highly productive duo with the Engineering Manager on the portfolio products 

  • Proactively investigate inefficiencies in our systems / processes and suggest improvement opportunities 

  • Help support efforts to identify and remove technical debt in our existing systems 

  • Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a strong documentation corpus for all portfolio platforms 
     

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience 

  • 2+ years of product management in a software and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment and passion for solving user problems – the ideal profile is someone with some technical acumen and not afraid of conceptual discussions with software engineers 

  • Experience with Agile methodologies 

  • Experience delivering user-facing products with elevated user experience and attention to detail 

  • Strong understanding of modern development practices and planning processes 

  • Exceptional organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Demonstrated ability to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities 

  • A strong taste for innovative projects and a will to learn new technologies / test out new ideas 

  • Experience with the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platforms 

  • Solid documentation skills and backlog grooming skills 

  • Ability to drive the team to success and create bonds with developers, QA, etc. 
     

Assets 

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) and common development paradigms (git, APIs, etc.) 

  • Working knowledge of modern application architecture 

  • Certified as a Product Owner, Scrum Master or PMP 

  • Experience in the Logistics Sector 

  • Experience in Client facing roles
