Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
Reporting to the FT&S Cloud Finance Manager, the Product Owner (PO) is responsible for the effective implementation, integration, and management of Intact’s newly deployed Workiva platform.
This role is crucial for ensuring smooth last mile reporting. It involves partnering closely with Consolidation, MD&A, Corporate finance, internal and external audit teams to ensure financial reporting and compliance processes are efficient controlled and scalable with the strategic objectives of the organisation.
In addition, the PO will play a role as subject matter expert a hands-on mentor and to our Financial Analyst who is maintaining our Oracle EPM Cloud solution Freeform used for our Management Statements reporting.
What you'll do here:
Workiva Platform Ownership and Governance
Implementation & Configuration
Serve as primary administrator and product owner for Workiva, championing adoption, change management and value delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations.
Develop and implement best practices.
System Maintenance & Support
Configure and maintain Workiva workspaces, roles/permissions, Wdata, and connector.
Lead change/release management; maintain solution design and process documentation.
Proactively propose enhancements and new designs to improve user experience, automation and reporting reliability.
Maintain access controls and segregation of duties; ensure audit-ready configurations supporting NI 52-109 (Operational and IT) and insurance regulatory frameworks.
Support Finance users with training and sharing functionalities and capabilities in the usage of the application.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors on the processes and control design, evidence and remediation activities carried out on the application.
Subject Matter Expert EPM Freeform
Support our Functional Analyst in the maintenance, configuration and change requests of Freeform dimension and hierarchies for Management Statements.
Review, refine business rules/calculations, mentor our Functional analyst in the capabilities and functionalities of Freeform application.
Analyze current financial processes and identify areas for improvement or automation.
Support our Reporting team who builds and maintains reports based out of Freeform architecture.
Develop and refine control protocols for financial systems and data to ensure continuous compliance and efficiency.
Facilitate collaboration with the 52-109 compliance program and work with internal and external auditors to ensure alignment and compliance.

What you bring to the table:
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or certification in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
A CPA designation, master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g. Workiva, Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.
Experience
5+ years of relevant professional experience in financial systems and accounting principles including hands-on platform administration or product ownership.
Workiva experience is a must; ability to lead adoption and training is a great asset.
Oracle EPM Cloud applications (Planning/Freeform) is a significant asset: metadata/dimensions, business rules, SmartView, security.
Experience with different finance reports models is a plus.
Skills
Excellent skills to communicate and present with the ability to interact with both technical and Finance stakeholders.
Strong grasp of finance concepts (close, consolidation, MD&A, reconciliations, Management Statements) and controls (NI 52-109).
Understands business and systems processes, as well as master the different data flows.
Analytical, pragmatic problem-solver with a bias for documentation, standards, and scalable design.
Growth mindset: proactive self-learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Positive attitude and team-first approach; fosters a supportive, high-trust learning environment.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
