This Position reports to:

Marketing Manager
 

We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager to play a key strategic role in our organization, focused on new product introductions and market penetration. This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies is product portfolio, ensuring they align with the ELIP product managers, portfolio strategies and business targets. This role demands a proactive, strategic thinker who can bring creative energy to customer-facing and digital initiatives. 

This position reports directly to the Commercial Portfolio Manager, (Marketing Director by interim), and requires a minimum of 2 days presence at the ABB Iberville office. 

Responsibilities:

  • Product Marketing Strategy: Define and drive the annual product marketing strategy for new and existing products, including market positioning, value proposition development and messaging ensuring alignment with the division’s strategic pillars and business targets. This includes value proposition  (with VOC) and product positioning. 
  • Product Launch & Promotion Execution: Translate strategy into action by developing and managing the detailed roadmap for product launches and  promotional campaigns, including objectives, timelines, budgets,  creative direction, stakeholder coordination, and deployment.
  • Digital Campaign Ownership of Product Launch and Promo: Develop and  execute creative, integrated product digital campaigns in collaboration with digital Marketing. 
  • Content creation: Utilize existing content and develop new materials that convey clear and engaging messages, incorporate compelling visuals, and  highlight strong value propositions. This includes content creation for sales  tools such as brochures, sell sheets, catalogs, and other digital tools. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Define and track KPIs for product marketing 
    initiatives. Provide regular performance dashboards and recommendations for improvement, ensuring all initiatives contribute to sales and market share  growth.   
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Act as the key liaison between Product  Management, Sales, and Marketing, ensuring full alignment and effective on market priorities, launch timelines, and sales enablement initiatives.   
  • Accountability and Ownership: Oversee all marketing activities, promotion, and support the Front-End Sales (FES) organization in driving revenue of  respective products. Candidates must be experienced in the creation and  management of relationships with key customers and external influencers.  Indirect leadership of a cross-functional execution team will be a key  component to achieving objectives in this role. 
  • Market Analysis: Coordinates with cross-functional and cross-division product marketing and sales team members to define appropriate forecasts and plans.  Collects, evaluates, and shares customer research, market conditions, and  competitive data, with a focus on lead times, specification acceptance, and  pricing. 

Qualifications for the role:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in marketing, project management, and  product management function in B2B industries (all three areas are essential  to succeed in this role) including 5 years in a strategic role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects autonomously and set priorities. 
  • Strong influence and collaboration skills; you can align with internal and external stakeholders without formal authority. 
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French; with a track record of engaging both internal and external stakeholders. English is necessary to communicate with clients outside of Quebec.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms. 
  • Creative and positive spirit with the ability to innovate and thrive in a dynamic; changing; often pressure-packed environment. 
  • Analytical thinker with ability to convert insights and KPIs into actionable plans. 
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed; fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. 
  • Proficiency in market research and analysis tools. 
  • Experience in creating; managing marketing content. 
  • Proven ability to translate features to benefit
  • Strong project management; organizational skills with attention to detail. 
  • Knowledge of Salesforce; Smartsheet; Power BI; other data/system tools.
