About the role

Our Product Marketing team’s mission is to generate customer insights that inform Stripe’s product strategy, and lead go-to-market for our suite of products. Product Marketing is a highly cross-functional role at Stripe, partnering closely with Product and Engineering, Pricing, Sales and Partnerships to name a few. Different from many other Product Marketing teams, our team works across the entire product lifecycle, from helping shape the product, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product adoption post-launch.  

We are looking for an experienced go-to-market strategist in our product marketing team to improve our understanding of our total addressable market across products, segments and regions, and to help tackle thorny go-to-market strategy questions that span across our portfolio. In this role, you will partner closely with Product and Sales leaders to understand product-market-fit by product segment, gaps in product and go-to-market investment and what’s needed to unlock revenue growth in our priority areas.

Responsibilities
  • Partner closely with product leaders, strategy and operations, go-to-market and finance teams to deeply understand product and GTM investment gaps, with the goal of informing resource allocation, investment and company planning. 
  • Develop perspective on how to unblock or accelerate go-to-market efforts. Understand current pain points, gaps, and develop a plan with cross-functional teams to solve.
Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • 7+ years of prior experience in consulting, business operations of equity research with a focus on payments / financial services.
  • Prior experience with market sizing and with building financial models or quantitative analysis.
  • Prior experience with conducting competitor research, understanding market landscape and competitor trends. 
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills, demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze problems and data sets to make complex investigation decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of google sheets, excel, tableau and experience working with large data sets.
  • Ability to work with senior executives including product and sales leaders. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred qualifications
  • Familiarity with SQL. 
  • Experience in data visualization and dashboarding.
  • Experience supporting Go-to-Market and/or Product Functions.
