About the RoleReporting to the Director of Data Engineering, the Product Manager, Data owns the strategy and success of our embedded analytics offering, Data Exploration. You will lead the product vision and roadmap, shaping how customers access, understand, and leverage data to drive better outcomes. Recognizing that the role of PM is evolving with the new AI tools available, there will be a focus to prototype, validate, and prepare specifications for AI code generation.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in building scalable, intuitive data capabilities that are deeply embedded into our product experience. You’ll balance customer needs, technical complexity, and business priorities to deliver solutions that are both impactful and easy to use.
This is a highly cross-functional role that requires strong product leadership, a customer-first mindset, and a solid foundation in data management. You’ll collaborate across teams to deliver high-impact data solutions for our customers.
What You'll DoProduct Success
- Own the success of Data Exploration, balancing priorities, managing stakeholders, and fostering innovation
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for feature enhancements and new capabilities
Customer Focus & Point of Contact
- Serve as the main representative for Data Exploration, engaging with clients, partners, and internal teams
- Address escalated concerns or complex requirements efficiently
Data Governance
- Define roles and responsibilities for data stewardship, ownership, and accuracy
- Manage metadata processes: document pipelines, maintain a data dictionary, and establish a business glossary
- Oversee data governance tools and ensure integration with workflows
- Promote data literacy through training, demos, and enablement
Feature Development & Engineering Collaboration
- Partner with engineering to define feature requirements and deliver on scope and timelines
- Use analytics and user feedback to guide decisions and track KPIs
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog, facilitating agile processes as needed
Strategic Leadership & Innovation
- Define and communicate product strategy, positioning, and messaging
- Proactively identify challenges and propose solutions
- Drive the product vision forward, influencing leadership and cross-functional partners
- Technical background with experience in software development or data management
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a growth mindset in a changing environment
- Experience gathering and interpreting product data and customer feedback to inform decisions
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with engineering, product design, support, and sales
- Ability to maintain strong customer relationships and provide product support
- Strong ability to analyze industry trends and competitive landscape
- Competency in project reporting, risk management, and status tracking
- Experience training internal teams on new product features and promoting data literacy
- Agile/Scrum certification or experience working in agile environments.
- Experience in healthcare or related industries is as asset
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English is an asset.
- Data management certifications (e.g., CDMP, DGSP, CIPP) are an asset
