Job Description

As a Product Manager of Physical AI at Vention…

You will own the product roadmap for GRIIP (Generalized Robotic Industrial Intelligence Pipeline), Vention's end-to-end Physical AI pipeline that powers robots to perceive, reason, and act across unstructured tasks and unpredictable manufacturing environments. In this role, you will interface with customers and internal stakeholders to capture emerging needs, drive respective software and AI development teams, and support sales & marketing for successful product launches. Leveraging your product management expertise and understanding of AI-driven robotics, you will be uniquely positioned to guide architectural choices and drive effective prioritization of our effort and resources.

What You’ll Do

  • Product management
    • Conduct interviews to understand application requirements, feature opportunities/gaps, and real-world manufacturing constraints 
    • Conduct benchmarking of competitor Physical AI and intelligent robotics products ● Conduct analysis to inform new product specifications and evaluate performance of existing pipeline capabilities (perception, pose estimation, grasp intelligence, path planning) 
    • Scope and maintain the product roadmap across the full GRIIP pipeline, including Vision Language Action (VLA) support 
    • Prepare detailed briefs for new AI features/capabilities, including technical requirements and business logic 
    • Lead preparation for Quarterly Product Review 
    • Contribute to sales enablement material and training various go-to-market teams (Account Executive, Application Engineers, Customer Success, etc.) 
    • Work closely with the marketing team to provide input for product launch campaigns ● Track and communicate key product metrics including pick success rates, cycle times, deployment speed, and application coverage 
  • Product ownership 
    • Organize and prioritize ticket backlog across AI/ML, perception, motion planning, and integration workstreams 
    • Breakdown product briefs for new capabilities into sequenced tickets for efficient execution 
    • Prepare and host sprint kick-offs, ensuring the AI and software teams support the scope and can successfully define the "how" 
    • Track and report timelines for each feature/product and measure team performance
    • Conduct business QA on new capabilities to ensure the user experience contributes to elevating the Vention platform 
    • Work with software team and HR to ensure teams are properly staffed with expertise required to deliver the annual roadmap 
    • Support dev-team productivity by scheduling periods of technical debt / bug elimination (or allow some refactoring as part of new feature development) 

Qualifications

You’ll bring :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, robotics, or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience in product management in the context of AI, robotics, industrial technologies, or other highly technical domain 
  • Prior knowledge of Physical AI technology, including Vision Language Models (VLA)
  • Ability to bridge technical AI/ML teams and business stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear product requirements 
  • Strong analytical tool kit with ability to analyze datasets 
  • Excellent internal/external stakeholder management skills 
  • Strong bias for speed and execution 
  • Strong project management and risk mitigation mindset, with demonstrated ability to build contingency plans and execute them 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds/good time management 

Nice to have :

  • Experience with Physical AI, foundation models, or generalized robotic intelligence systems 
  • Familiarity with industrial automation applications (e.g., bin picking, machine tending, palletizing, kitting) 
  • Hands-on experience with robot arm programming, motion planning, or vision systems
  • Knowledge of Python programming 
  • Experience bringing AI/ML products from research to production at scale
