About The Role

The Product Lead, Internal Operations Application is responsible for the strategic ownership and ongoing enhancement of a core internal platform supporting operational scheduling and project timeline management for clinical and pre-clinical activities. This role combines product leadership with project coordination to ensure timely and effective delivery of platform features and improvements.

This role works closely with system owners, functional stakeholders, and technical teams to define priorities, oversee the development lifecycle, and manage implementation timelines. This role also supports communication, testing coordination, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and backlog in alignment with organizational needs.

  • Translate business and user needs into actionable feature definitions and user stories.

  • Collect and analyze feedback to guide product evolution and user adoption.

  • Serve as a central liaison between system owners, operational staff, development teams, and leadership.

  • Gather and document business requirements and workflows, validating feasibility and alignment with strategic priorities.

  • Facilitate decision-making and manage expectations across multiple stakeholder groups.

  • Plan and track feature delivery and system updates across defined sprints or milestones.

  • Coordinate timelines, resources, and task assignments in collaboration with development and SMEs.

  • Monitor project risks, scope, and dependencies; raise issues proactively to leadership when necessary.

  • Schedule and lead working sessions, requirement reviews, and project update meetings.

  • Ensure effective coordination across departments for testing, documentation, and deployment.

  • Prepare internal communications, release notes, and training materials.

  • Support onboarding and facilitate platform training and demos for new or updated features.

  • Monitor adoption, escalate challenges, and provide recommendations for user support.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management, business analysis, or platform ownership.  

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Experience with agile methodologies and backlog management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).

  • Experience supporting system documentation and training initiatives.

  • Strong organizational with experience translating user needs into functional requirements.

  • Communication skills ; English required ; French is an asset

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with technical teams and operational stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Experience in clinical research, pre-clinical operations, or regulated environments is an asset.

  • Familiarity with operational scheduling, project management systems, or similar internal platforms is preferred.

  • Understanding of compliance frameworks relevant to clinical or research operations (e.g., GCP, GLP, 21 CFR Part 11) is an asset
