About the Role

At AlayaCare, design is more than aesthetics—it's a catalyst for meaningful change in healthcare. As a Product Designer, you won’t just shape interfaces; you’ll empower frontline workers to deliver life‑saving care. You’ll collaborate directly with nurses, clinical managers, and personal support staff to develop simple yet powerful digital solutions that help providers deliver exceptional care.
Working closely with product managers and product leadership, you’ll innovate and refine experiences that enhance the quality of care and improve patient outcomes. You’ll grow alongside Senior and Staff Designers, work on end‑to‑end feature design, contribute to a scalable design system, and develop strategic design leadership skills.

What You’ll Do
  • Design for Simplicity: craft intuitive, accessible, and elegant user experiences that enhance the efficiency of healthcare professionals.
  • Team Collaboration: actively participate in design reviews and working sessions to ensure our team delivers effective, caring solutions.
  • Manage Your Workload: understand your capacity and, with your team, plan a realistic activities roadmap.
  • Enhance UX Expertise: apply growing knowledge of UX/UI and micro‑interactions to help users complete tasks; our core tool is Figma.
  • Ensure Platform Consistency: apply our design system uniformly across platforms and contribute to its evolution.
  • From Insights to Impact: research and translate complex problems into practical, testable solutions.
  • Cultivate Partnerships: collaborate with engineering, product management, QA, and other stakeholders.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 2–4 years of product/UX design experience (or equivalent capability demonstrated through a strong portfolio).
  • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, XD, Framer).
  • Ability to pair with other designers—sharing best practices, ideation techniques, and usability principles.
  • Strong attention to detail in design files and shipped experiences; able to inspire and guide developers to deliver polished results.
  • Comfort using qualitative and quantitative data, including analytics tools, to inform design decisions.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills with designers, engineers, and product teams.
  • Ability to work on-site at our Montreal office 2x per week
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
