Job Description

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the incumbent is responsible for supporting the sales force and customers in understanding, training on, and using the product line under their responsibility. The incumbent actively participates in the development of the solutions development plan and in the creation of product development documentation, as well as pre-sales, post-sales, and go-to-market tools.

The incumbent also supports the Engineering team by conducting application testing on products under development and recommending changes and improvements. They also contribute to the continuous improvement of the product line(s) under their responsibility. Finally, they support the Product Manager in the development of new solutions.

Key Functions and Responsibilities

Support the Sales Force and Train Users:

  • Identify and develop new solutions by considering internal development capabilities, existing solutions available on the market, and potential partnership opportunities;
  • Deliver and develop training on instrumentation and its applications for the sales force and international customers;
  • Contribute to the improvement of training programs and training materials;
  • Actively contribute to the technical and commercial support provided to the sales force and customers for their assigned product line;
  • Respond promptly to questions and requests from customers and the sales force.

Contribute to the Product Development Plan:

  • Analyze market needs and make recommendations regarding products and sales methods;
  • Develop portions of the specifications for new products based on market information and specific criteria provided by the Product Manager;
  • Work closely with various Engineering departments to facilitate product development and recommend changes or modifications as needed;
  • Ensure that decisions and actions are aligned with the product development plan;
  • Conduct analyses, troubleshoot issues, propose solutions to problems encountered, and implement them.

Participate in Go-to-Market Activities:

  • Develop product/solution documentation and sales and post-sales tools in accordance with the direction provided by the Product Manager;
  • Actively participate in the launch of solutions and new products;
  • Recommend changes and improvements related to go-to-market activities and participate in their implementation;
  • Perform any other related duties as requested by their supervisor.

Qualifications

Education and Relevant Experience

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in the field of Phased Array Ultrasonics;
  • College diploma (DEC) in Physics with 8 to 10 years of experience / Bachelor's degree in Physics with 5 to 7 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience, an asset;
  • Experience in marketing and go-to-market activities, an asset.

  • English proficiency: Advanced.
