Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as Privacy expert on projects and initiatives involving online tracking technologies and the data they collect, helping to advance governance processes.
- Serve as Privacy expert relating to design and determination of who should have access to a given body of data.
- Serve as Privacy expert relating to Privacy-related policies and standards governing internal and external sharing of data.
- Represent privacy across the enterprise consulting on privacy programs to ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations and establish readiness for the future so that privacy acts as a differentiator that helps unlock the value of data.
- Responsible for conducting risk assessments, including privacy impact assessments, and risk oversight to ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulation.
- Collaborate across the Enterprise on privacy initiatives and issues, inclusive of marketing initiatives
- Relied on as expert in interpreting data classification questions.
- Designs and delivers training needed for the Enterprise as needed.
- Create solutions to address changing regulatory environment. This includes developing or modifying governance processes and requirements and influencing internal stakeholders to adopt or implement them.
- Works closely cross-functional risk partners to seek holistic, harmonized processes and governance.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in business, information technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience implementing, using, working with or governing tracking technologies.
- Minimum of 5 years' work experience
- Understanding of the Financial Service Industry (GLBA), Healthcare (HIPAA), Technologies and technology concepts strongly preferred.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact, influence, and persuade others.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and carry out multiple, diverse assignments.
- Proven ability to lead cross-departmental projects
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation and platform speaking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor other staff members
- Certified Privacy-related experience with certification, such as Information Protection Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), or Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) strongly preferred
- Experience with Privacy Technology Suites (e.g.: OneTrust) preferred
- Understanding of privacy frameworks, such as NIST, ISO, and SANS preferred
