Build the Future of Financial Services with Scalable, Secure DevOps SolutionsThe RoleAs a Principal DevOps Engineer at Capco, you’ll lead the design, implementation, and evolution of cloud-based platforms that transform the financial services industry. You’ll work across multi-disciplinary teams to build automation pipelines, embed modern DevOps practices, and guide engineers to deliver world-class digital solutions.
We’re looking for a collaborative and hands-on engineer who thrives in an agile environment and enjoys solving complex problems at scale. You’ll help shape DevOps strategy across major client programmes, influencing architecture and tooling decisions that drive performance, security, and resilience.
What You’ll DoLead DevOps strategy, architecture, and automation for large-scale cloud and hybrid solutions.
Champion CI/CD best practices, infrastructure-as-code, and container orchestration.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, efficient, and reliable platforms.
Coach and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Partner with clients to advise on modernisation, cloud adoption, and DevOps transformation.
Proven experience leading DevOps initiatives within enterprise or consulting environments.
Strong technical expertise across AWS with hands-on use of networking and security services.
Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Advanced scripting and automation skills in Python, Groovy, or similar languages.
Deep understanding of SDLC principles and modern delivery practices, including Agile and TDD/BDD.
Experience in financial services or fintech environments.
Hands-on experience with test orchestration tools (Cucumber, Karate, Selenium).
Track record of migrating on-premise systems to cloud ecosystems.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Contributions to thought leadership, mentoring, or internal capability building.
Deliver high-impact technology solutions for Tier 1 financial institutions.
