Position Overview

We are seeking a Principal Conversational Designer to help us shape the future of Autodesk Assistant. You will be pivotal to the Autodesk Assistant by providing conversational design expertise utilized across the Autodesk ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• You will drive, design, and refine holistic conversational AI experiences for the Autodesk Assistant

• You will be an expert within the organization and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the company

• You will lead cross-functional exploration, analysis, and problem-solving efforts, involving multiple complex systems and multiple stakeholders

• You will extend, create, and communicate net new patterns and concepts to used across the Autodesk Assistant platform

• You will be a strong advocate for customer-focused solutions

• You will mentor other designers

• You will conduct research and leverage data to guide decision-making

Minimum Qualifications

• You’re an expert in human-centered design and conversational design

• You have a proven track record of designing and delivering impactful conversational AI experiences

• You have experience working with conversational AI platforms and technologies such as ChatGPT, Alexa, Siri, Perplexity, Claude, Rasa, DialogFlow, or IBM Watson

• You have a strong understanding of natural language processing (NLP), generative AI, or machine learning principles

• You have excellent communication skills and are adept at cross-functional collaboration

• You’ve received a bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Linguistics, or a related field

• You have 8+ years of experience in conversational design or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• You stay up-to-date with trends and advancements in AI, conversational design, and UX

• You have experience working as part of a platform team or environment

• You’re proficient in AI tools such as Voiceflow, BotMock, Dialogflow, or n8n

• You’re proficient in prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or Framer

• You’ve received a master’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Linguistics, or a related field
