Responsibilities for the Principal Architect (SaaS) Role
As a member of the Architecture team, the Principal Architect will lead efforts to modernize legacy SaaS applications. This role involves defining strategy and architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and challenging estimates and strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Key Contributions to the SaaS Strategy
• Define the strategy and architecture to modernize legacy SaaS applications.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and technical leads to align SaaS architecture with organizational objectives.
• Evaluate and select technologies and tools based on scalability, performance, and best practices.
• Challenge and validate estimates, strategies, and designs proposed by teams.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable SaaS solutions.
• Define and oversee the execution of the SaaS governance strategy in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Communicate technical concepts and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in software architecture, SaaS application development, and cloud services.
• Expertise in modernizing legacy systems and migrating them to cloud-based architectures.
• High motivation, teamwork, and results-oriented approach.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go.
• Knowledge of SaaS governance, performance optimization, and security best practices.
• Willingness to stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in SaaS and software architecture.
• Relevant certifications in cloud services or software architecture are advantageous.
• Bilingualism (French and English) required.
