Job Description:

   

We are looking for a motivated Presales Systems Engineer to support our growing HPE Networking business, which now includes Aruba and Juniper Networks. This role is designed for an Experienced Systems Engineer ready to take the next step in their career. You will work closely with account teams, partners, and customers to design and position advanced networking solutions that drive digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Expertise: Develop technical proficiency across the combined HPE Networking portfolio—Aruba wired/wireless, ClearPass, Central, Juniper switching, routing, security, and automation.
  • Presales Engagement: Partner with sales teams to understand customer needs, design solutions, and deliver technical presentations and demos.
  • Solution Design & Validation: Create architectures and proposals aligned with customer objectives; lead proof-of-concept (POC) activities.
  • Enablement & Growth: Participate in advanced training programs and certifications to deepen expertise in HPE and Juniper technologies.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams and partners to ensure successful solution positioning and adoption.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 
    • 7+years in networking infrastructure; prior experience as a networking SE or similar role.
    • Roles in networking design, installation, services, and support desired.
    • Background and experience in Public Sector, higher-ed, k12, and enterprise.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with network design principles and protocols.
    • Experience with to Aruba and/or Juniper networking solutions (switching, wireless, SD-WAN, security) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certifications: Aruba or Juniper certifications highly desirable, with a desire to pursue certifications. 
  • Ideal candidates must reside in Edmonton, AB and have the ability to travel in Western Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Public Sector and Enterprise environments and procurement processes.
  • Interest in network automation, AI-driven operations, and cloud-managed networking.

  • Formation et développement : Participer à des formations avancées et obtenir des certifications pour approfondir son expertise des technologies HPE et Juniper.
  • Collaboration : Travailler avec les équipes internes et les partenaires pour assurer le succès du positionnement et de l'adoption des solutions. Qualifications requises

Expérience :

  • Plus de 7 ans d'expérience en infrastructure réseau ; expérience préalable en tant qu'ingénieur système réseau ou poste similaire.
  • Expérience souhaitée en conception, installation, services et soutien réseau.
  • Expérience dans les secteurs public, de l'enseignement supérieur, du primaire et du secondaire, et des entreprises.

Compétences techniques :

  • Maîtrise des principes et protocoles de conception réseau.
  • Une expérience des solutions réseau Aruba et/ou Juniper (commutation, sans fil, SD-WAN, sécurité) est un atout.
  • Compétences relationnelles : Excellentes compétences en communication, en présentation et en résolution de problèmes.
  • Certifications : Les certifications Aruba ou Juniper sont fortement souhaitées, avec la volonté d'en obtenir d'autres.
  • Les candidats idéaux doivent résider à Edmonton (Alberta) et être en mesure de se déplacer dans l'Ouest canadien.

Qualifications souhaitables

  • Connaissance des environnements et des processus d'approvisionnement des secteurs public et privé.
  • Intérêt pour l'automatisation des réseaux, les opérations pilotées par l'IA et les réseaux gérés dans le nuage.
