Platform Engineer, Stealth Start-Up Company

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Full-Stack Platform Developer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the development and deployment framework of our innovative application. Your expertise will streamline back-end APIs, the data layer, AI interfaces, deployment processes, cloud infrastructure, developer tools, source control, security, and CI/CD, ultimately accelerating our application development processes while ensuring simplicity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stay abreast of emerging tools, frameworks, and AI-driven technologies, adapting these innovations to enhance team productivity while maintaining stability.
• Evaluate, adopt, or phase out developer tools to ensure a balance between progress and disruption.
• Distinguish between application logic and platform components to maintain efficiency and clarity in development.
• Create robust abstractions to decouple layers within the technology stack.
• Design intuitive APIs that are easily understandable and adoptable by both LLMs and developers.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks to enhance development velocity.

Qualifications:

• Over 10 years of experience with cloud infrastructure and architecture.
• Proficient in Azure, with additional experience in AWS and GCP as a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, and Postgres.
• Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
• Background in full-stack development with a focus on backend languages and frameworks.
• Experience in start-ups and SaaS environments is highly desirable.
