Temporary position for 12 months
The Operational Risk and Specialized Security Department is made up of experienced and dynamic professionals who work with their colleagues from the Security Office every day to identify, evaluate and mitigate security risks. As a personal information protection advisor, you provide support to the various stakeholders who work every day to roll out solutions to continuously improve the way that Desjardins protects personal information. Your job is to identify, analyze and make recommendations to mitigate risks in this area in collaboration with those in charge of controls in Desjardins's business sectors and support functions. You work with control officers to assess the effectiveness of controls and identify areas for improvement. More specifically, you will be required to:
Help identify personal information protection-related risks in the operational processes used by Desjardins Group entities’ business sectors.
Help identify personal information protection-related risks and mitigation measures for initiatives from the Project Management Office.
Help evaluate the conceptual and operation effectiveness of the controls identified in the risk matrix.
Support senior advisors in maintaining and updating personal information protection risk models.
Help maintain and update the personal information protection control register.
Support senior advisors in activities related to the Desjardins Security Plan.
Align with other security practices (fraud, financial crime prevention, information security, etc.)

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Experience with security projects involving multiple stakeholders
Experience working in fast-paced environments that require effective pressure and priority management
Certifications: CIPP/C, CIPM or other
Knowledge of French is required
Intermediate advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Knowledge of Desjardins Group Security Office privacy processes and stakeholders
