About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven People & Culture Generalist to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will support the People & Culture team with a variety of essential functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and work collaboratively will be key to your success. We are a remote-first company, however the ideal candidate is located in Toronto and is willing to complete office tasks as required (approximately 2-3 days per month).

What You'll Do:

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment: creating job descriptions, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and conducting first-round interviews
  • Lead onboarding for new employees, which includes coordinating all activities leading up to the first day and facilitating new hire orientation
  • Manage the effective administration of our HRIS (Rippling), which includes processing new hires, employee changes, and terminations with 100% data accuracy
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries within our shared HR inboxes
  • Support administrative duties, including ordering office supplies and managing hardware and access cards
  • Drive process improvements across the employee lifecycle (i.e. onboarding, offboarding)
  • Ensure HR processes are documented and updated as processes evolve
  • Support with the planning and execution of team events and celebrations

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 2+ years of experience in HR Operations
  • Experience managing HRIS and ATS software (Rippling and Breezy experience an asset)
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and data analysis skills
  • A passion for fostering a positive employee experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Execution-driven, who can move quickly and efficiently through processes
  • Ability to maintain confidential information with a high degree of professionalism
