Operations Manager

Are you a dynamic and experienced logistics leader ready to manage the complete lifecycle of a high-volume 3PL operation? We're seeking an Operations Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day warehousing, transportation, and fulfillment activities in Hesperia, CA . This role is critical for ensuring profitable service delivery and operational excellence, requiring a strategic mindset, exceptional team leadership, and the ability to independently drive results and process improvements across current and potentially future regional sites.

Pay Range: ($130,000 - $160,000)

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams: Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a large, diverse team, including operations managers, warehouse staff, and drivers, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee End-to-End Operational Flow: Command all aspects of the 3PL business, including inventory control, order fulfillment, transportation, and logistics, ensuring seamless and accurate execution of daily operations.

  • Manage Financial Performance (P&L): Maintain financial oversight for the operations unit, meticulously managing budgets and controlling costs to ensure profitability while consistently meeting and exceeding client service expectations.

  • Drive Data-Informed Process Improvement: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, leveraging methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma to identify bottlenecks and implement effective workflow optimizations.

  • Ensure Compliance and Mitigate Risk: Uphold rigorous safety standards and compliance with all transportation, warehousing, and regulatory requirements, actively managing operational risks to protect the team and the business.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in Logistics Leadership: Minimum of 5-10 years of leadership experience in a high-volume warehouse or 3PL logistics environment, with at least 5 years specifically in a managerial role.

  • E-commerce/Fulfillment Expertise: Proven track record in managing complete warehouse fulfillment cycles, including ordering, picking, packing, and shipping at scale.

  • Financial & P&L Acumen: Demonstrated experience in budget management, cost control, and managing profit & loss (P&L) responsibility for an operational unit.

  • Technology Proficiency: High proficiency in using and optimizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and leveraging data for complex operational decision-making.

  • Physical and Scheduling Flexibility: Ability to work the full Monday-Friday Day Shift (and flexible hours as needed), and capable of performing physical requirements, including lifting up to 40 lbs. Frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.

  • Preferred Certifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and/or professional certifications like CSCP, CLTD, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
