Evolving Web is seeking a strategic, people-centered professional to serve as our Manager of Employee Experience & Community. This is a multifaceted office administrator role that blends event leadership, internal office culture building, marketing strategy, and community engagement.

Based out of our Montreal headquarters (4388 Saint Denis St suite 200, Montreal, Quebec H2J 2L1), you'll shape our external presence across the open source ecosystem—particularly through EvolveDigital (formerly EvolveDrupal)—while fostering a cohesive and enriching internal employee experience. You’ll work at the nexus of office operations, outreach, and culture, collaborating across teams and with leadership to support the continued growth and impact of our Montreal office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement new office administrative procedures,contributing to strategic company initiatives across departments including: culture, recruiting, partnerships, and operations
  • Maintain internal systems, including access management, software tools, equipment, and subscriptions, delegating work to support staff as necessary.
  • Act as an office cultural ambassador, fostering a sense of belonging, alignment, and professionalism in all internal and external interactions
  • Assist with the preparation of the office budget, overseeing administrative operations and the distribution of work.
  • Lead the strategy, budgeting, and execution of EvolveDigital and related events, a multi-city summit series in North America that connects open source technologists, designers, and digital leaders in the public and private sectors
  • Manage the full lifecycle of our company’s participation in major industry events—including DrupalCon, Drupal GovCon, DigitalCollegium, and others, planning and coordinating the budget.
  • Delegate work and coordinate team travel, speaking engagements, sponsorships, and on-site presence at conferences, ensuring brand alignment and operational excellence
  • Participate in these events on behalf of Evolving Web—engaging with attendees, building relationships, and identifying opportunities with potential clients and partners
  • Lead and mentor the office marketing and content team, ensuring strategic alignment and consistent brand voice across all platforms
  • Collaborate with internal teams on outreach campaigns for events, hiring, partnerships, and thought leadership
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, with a strong focus on engagement and inclusion
  • Support HR operations, internal communications, and employee-facing systems
  • Oversee the Montreal office, ensuring it operates as an organized, welcoming, and functional hub for employees and guests
  • Review administrative procedures for office services and plan for office equipment, supplies and other.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For (Skills Requirement)

  • 3 - 5 years in roles that combine office administration, event coordination strategy, community engagement, internal operations, and/or marketing leadership.
  • Experience in project coordination and project management, with preference for the web design or user experience industry.
  • Proven success organizing a company’s presence at multiple large-scale conferences, including managing office and travel logistics for full-team attendance, speaker coordination, sponsorships, and booth strategy
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to manage people, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable in a full-time, in-office role, with a willingness to travel regularly to represent Evolving Web externally.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business Administration, Management or related field.
  • Language skills in English and French.

Benefits

Annual salary: CAD $102,000 based on 40 hours per week
