Nue is looking for a highly hands-on, creative, and organized intern to lead a full refresh of our office space. This role offers real ownership from day one. You will manage the project end-to-end, from assessing the current space to designing, sourcing, and physically executing updates.
This is not a shadowing or observational internship. You will be trusted to make decisions, manage a budget, and bring a vision to life.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both design thinking and rolling up their sleeves to execute.
- Assess the current office space and identify opportunities for improvement
- Propose a clear design plan, including layouts, mood boards, sketches, or visuals
- Source furniture, materials, and decor (online and local vendors)
- Coordinate purchasing and deliveries within a defined budget
- Physically execute the refresh, including:
- Painting
- Furniture assembly
- Space setup and reconfiguration
- Manage timelines and track progress to completion
- Communicate updates and design decisions clearly to stakeholders
- Highly self-directed and comfortable making independent decisions
- Creative, with a strong visual and spatial design sense
- Organized, detail-oriented, and budget-aware
- Willing and able to do hands-on work (painting, assembling furniture, moving items)
- Comfortable sourcing materials and coordinating vendors
