We're seeking someone to join our team as a Network Operations Specialist / SME in Enterprise Network Services to build and secure large-scale networks and provide a deep understanding of modern networking, especially in complex, high-security environments.

This is a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for managing and optimizing technical infrastructure and ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems to support business needs effectively.

What you'll do in the role:

Network Operations & Stability (Core Responsibility) 

  • Operate and maintain large, secure enterprise network infrastructures across production and non‑production environments. 
  • Ensure high availability, resiliency, and performance of network services supporting critical business workflows. 
  • Monitor network health, identify risks, and drive proactive remediation to prevent incidents. 
  • Open to work shift hours including on weekends. 

Break-Fix & Incident Response (Core Responsibility) 

  • Act as a senior escalation point (L3) for incidents raised by L1/L2 support teams, including real‑time issue triage and resolution. 
  • Pick up and respond to operational phone calls / bridge lines during incidents, outages, and severity events. 
  • Participate in incident bridges, root cause analysis, and post‑incident reviews to improve operational processes. 
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams during critical incidents to restore service quickly and safely. 
  • Perform deep‑dive root cause analysis (RCA) and document corrective and preventive actions. 
  • Work closely with application, infrastructure, and business teams during incidents and changes. 
  • Engage vendors and service providers during hardware failures, circuit issues, and platform defects. 
  • Clearly communicate technical status and impact to both technical and non‑technical audiences. 

Operational Design Review & Supportability 

  • Assess designs from an operations and break‑fix perspective, ensuring: 
  • Clear fault domains 
  • Predictable traffic paths 
  • Effective monitoring and alerting integration 
  • Ensure new designs can be effectively supported by NOC and L1/L2 teams, including clear escalation points and runbooks. 
  • Identify design gaps that could lead to operational instability or repeated incidents and recommend improvements 
  • Support upgrades, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives within enterprise networks. 

What you'll bring to the role:
 

  • 10+ years of networking experience - ideally in financial services, technology vendors, or systems integrators.
  • Expertise with Ethernet technologies (STP, 802.1x, VPC, Multilayer Switching, Leaf-Spine IP Fabric).
  • Decent knowledge in OSPF(primary IGP), BGP(iBGP+eBGP), MP-BGP/Segment Routing/MPLS, DMVPN, VXLAN, VRFs, Multicast(PIM Spare-Mode/IGMP/MSDP), Route Policies and Redistribution.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR, Nexus, Catalyst and Arista switches, and network operating systems (Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NXOS, IOS-XR, Arista EOS).
  • Strong background in network security concepts, multi-tier security architectures, and best practices for segmenting production and non-production networks. Experience with network tools such as Wireshark, Infoblox, HPNA, Splunk, Sevone, ServiceNow.
  • Familiarity with project/task management tools like JIRA, especially Agile/Kanban methods.
