MFT Platform Administrator

As an MFT platform administrator, you design, configure, administer, maintain and update the MFT platform, which is used by over 500 applications within Desjardins (including 130 critical applications). Under the Data Foundation Administrative Department and the Managed File Transfer Ingestion Services Department, you will be part of the team responsible for managing incidents and problems with the platform. This team is organized based on Kanban methodology and works on many different subjects (networks, telecoms, security, systems, etc.). We have diversified, concrete projects that aim to make the platform secure, stable, and adapted to meet our client’s needs. You help solve complex problems. You use your analytical skills and detailed knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical. You interact with stakeholders working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Diagnose issues, challenges and needs. Develop and implement objectives, processes, methods, development tools, solutions and action plans.

• Manage incidents and problems sent to your assignment group and support clients.

• Analyze data. Conduct studies. Make recommendations.

• Help update, monitor and maintain the platform and its ecosystem.

• Play a role in team projects by developing prototypes and proofs of concept.

• Help develop procedures and implement tools.

• Communicate and liaise with technical teams as needed.

• Monitor platform security.

• Prepare and update technical documentation.

• Participate in 24/7 on-call support for the platform, with team rotation.

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree in a related field

• A minimum of four years of experience in platform administration, system administration, IT incident management, IT problem management or any other relevant experience

• Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

• Experience with agile methodology

• Knowledge of French is required

• Knowledge of file transfer security standards (SFTP, PGP file encryption, key authentication, etc.)

• Knowledge of networks and telecommunications equipment

• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems

• Knowledge of SQL, Python and PowerShell development
