Job Description

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, your main mandate for the production sector under your responsibility will be to see to the planning of mechanical maintenance work as well as the execution of the preventive/predictive maintenance program.

What you’re responsible for:  

  •  Receive and analyze the relevance and scope of all service requests, i.e. duration of work, labor, subcontractors and materials required, cost estimates, etc. ;
  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance work, in collaboration with external sites and subcontractors;
  • Work with plants and subcontractors to establish maintenance priorities;
  • Ensure effective coordination of maintenance work to meet operational reliability requirements;
  • Create preventive and predictive task instructions on all existing equipment as well as for new equipment introduced into the plant;
  • Plan and organize major shutdowns and ensure the proper allocation of human and material resources to minimize downtime;
  • Plan work so that it is carried out safely and in compliance with the company's OHS procedures and regulations;
  • Manage and optimize equipment spare parts lists in the "Maximo" CMMS system;
  • Create all spare parts for new equipment in the "Maximo" CMMS system;
  • Occasionally carry out reliability projects on our production equipment.

Qualifications

To join our team:  

  • BAC in mechanical engineering, DEC in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, industrial electronics, DEP in industrial construction and maintenance mechanics, DEP in electromechanics of automated systems or other;
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in the manufacturing sector;
  • Good knowledge of a CMMS system (MAXIMO, an asset);
  • Experience in team management (an asset);
  • Good command of spoken and written French and English.

Additional Information

  • May be required to work outdoors and be exposed to hot or cold temperatures;
  • Factory environment (dusty and noisy);
  • Permanent, full-time position.
