This Position reports to:

Senior Engineering Manager
 

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support a strategic improvement project focused on material management within our manufacturing operations. This internship offers hands-on experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic industrial environment. This role is part of a lean challenge competition between manufacturing sites.

The work model for the role is on site.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare drawings package for vendors
  • Analyze materials and define manufacturing parameters
  • Validate materials status under engineering change process
  • Prepare 2D drawings for vendors
  • Prepare drawings package for manufacturing
  • Support production for various inquiries
  • Validate non-conformities
  • Tools: Creo 3D, Windchill PLM, SAP

Qualification

  • Education: Bachelor’s program in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with CAD 3D  
  • Knowledge of MS Office software.
  • Ability to travel to our office in St Laurent (internship is primarily in-person).
  • Good communication skills in French and English. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
