MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Recognized Certificate of Qualification as a Tool and Die Maker/Millwright or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 10 years' experience in automotive assembly / tooling manufacturing environment
- Reliability, willingness work overtime and travel to offsite locations as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hold employees and contractors accountable for their quality of work and quantity of work, general performance, time and attendance, housekeeping and all related employment duties
- Responsible to enforce and ensure the consistent application of Company Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Safety, Environmental, and government regulations where applicable
- Must be a competent and reliable person who is willing to work overtime and travel offsite when necessary.
- Required to get involved in MAFACT activities.
- Prepare work and set up personnel for start-up of each shift
- Prioritize workload schedules to meet job deadlines
- Attend white board meetings and Supervisor meetings and provide program information as they relate to Program.
- Communicate and inform Mechanical Supervisor and Team Members of any changes in job information, deadlines and maintenance requirements for equipment
- Report any concerns and work-related matters to Mechanical Supervisor and/or other department Supervisors
- Work within the hours/budget assigned to the job
- Provide technical advice and support to work group and supervise team members assigned to you
- Responsible to maintain overtime distribution to ensure fairness and compliance with policy in accordance with the timelines and hours set
- Identify and troubleshoot problems on new or existing equipment and follow up with engineering on any updates or changes (Red-Line Drawings)
- Responsible for communicating work group Manpower resource requirements to Mechanical Supervisor
- Maintain positive contribution towards customer satisfaction, quality and Company profitability
- Evaluate Team Members in order to recommend individuals for wage increases
- Maintain time sheets and attendance records.
- Be a responsible member of the Leadership Team.
- Open and lock up plant as required
- Arrange and schedule heat-treating, grinding, black oxidizing, and other special requirements for job
- Ensure all safety hazards, defective equipment or unsafe situations are addressed immediately
- Contain, report and have safety hazards fixed by qualified people immediately
- Know how to perform your Team's assigned tasks in a safe manner
- Know how to properly lockout all energy sources, including stored energy, in your area
- Instruct and monitor your Team to ensure they are following the safety rules, standards and procedures at all times
- Know what type of Personal Protective Equipment is required for the jobs in your area and ensure that your Team uses Personal Protective Equipment properly
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, promote and practice good housekeeping along with all fellow Team Members
- Motivate and encourage positive, attitudes at all times
- Treat all Team Members equally, fairly, with dignity and respect
- Promote open, honest communication amongst one another
- Promote the "Open Door" Environment

- Set a positive example for the Team at all times
- With Mechanical Supervisor's involvement, apply progressive discipline in a fair and consistent manner without favoritism and ensure it is conducted privately/away from others to maintain confidentiality and employee self-esteem
- Maintain Team Member confidentiality
- Ensure regular communication, employee development, teamwork, and quality work through team meetings (both on and off site) and forward meeting minutes to Mechanical Supervisor and Plant Manager
- Achieve the continuous improvement benchmark of 80% or higher on each category and no less than 50% on any individual question on the Employee Opinion Survey
- Provide each Team Member with performance feedback on a regular basis and involve Mechanical Supervisor
- Complete annual performance appraisals and return to Human Resources by the scheduled deadline
- Encourage Team Members to discuss their questions, concerns and suggestions in a positive manner
- Ensure ISO Quality Workmanship through continuous improvement and training
- Ensure all ISO Standard Operating Procedures are followed
- Report Quality issues or concerns immediately and take appropriate corrective actions
- Promote, participate in and support Continuous Improvements
- Perform other related duties as required
