Job Summary:
The MDP Platform Engineer III is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of Databricks and Azure platform solutions. This role focuses on aligning cloud architecture strategies with business and IT objectives, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards, and driving innovation.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute Azure cloud architecture solutions that are secure, reliable, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs
- Create strategies and implementation plans for integrating new technology solutions, focusing on Databricks and Azure services
- Drive innovation in platform solutions to enhance business functionality, efficiency, and scalability
- Maintain effective communication with IT and key business stakeholders regarding technology priorities and deliverables
- Optimize the use of Azure cloud services, Databricks workspaces, and supporting technologies to meet organizational goals
- Evaluate and enhance the reliability, availability, security, and performance of cloud platforms and data pipelines
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement automated deployment pipelines using tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, and CI/CD methodologies
- Conduct system assessments and recommend changes to ensure compliance, reduce risk, and improve operational efficiency
- Engage with vendors and third-party providers to manage service agreements and ensure project deliverables
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and across teams
- Assist in project management efforts, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of initiatives
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Five (5) years of experience in IT roles with a focus on Databricks, Azure Cloud Services, and associated technologies
- Hands-on expertise in Azure cloud architecture and translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Project management experience is preferred
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:
Required:
- Azure Services Administration: In-depth knowledge of Azure PaaS Services, Azure Data Platform, Azure Active Directory, Azure Monitor, and Databricks
- Cloud Architecture Design: Strong expertise in designing cloud architectures that meet business and technical requirements
- Azure DevOps Automation: Proficiency in DevOps tooling, automation, and orchestration, particularly with Terraform and Terragrunt
- Programming Languages: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in two or more of the following programming languages: Scala, Python, PowerShell, GraphQL, .NET, or C#
Preferred:
- Enterprise Architecture Frameworks: Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects effectively, balancing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality solutions
- Databricks Data Engineering: Strong knowledge of data engineering principles, including the integration of Databricks for analytics and machine learning applications
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare industry practices and managed care models
Licensure and Certification:
- Azure Data Engineer, Azure Solution Architect, or other relevant Infrastructure, Development, or IT Management certifications are preferred
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Compensation Range:
$92,300.00 - $161,600.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
