Planned is an AI-native event management platform that helps companies streamline their meetings & events booking process. We make it easy for anyone to plan successful events while giving finance teams the visibility and control they need to maximize their budget. Planned has already worked with over 200 companies across North America, such as; PwC, L'Oréal, Google, Samsung & Airbnb.
We're on a mission to disrupt a $500+ billion industry. To achieve that, we want to work with brilliant minds and natural leaders who are driven to out-think, out-plan, and outperform the competition. We tackle every business decision with enthusiasm, and we love the work that we do!
The Marketing Generalist role exists to strengthen Planned's brand awareness in person and online, and to deepen the support we give account managers and users. You'll own how Planned shows up at both ends of the journey: getting us in front of buyers at major industry conferences, and driving adoption among end users getting started in Planned. It's a broad, high-ownership generalist role with events at its core (up to 75% depending on the season).
What You'll Do
- Own events end-to-end, from planning and logistics to on-site execution and follow-up
- Land Planned more speaking opportunities and get us onstage at every major conference (GBTA, BTN Innovate, and beyond)
- Build and run new user onboarding that drives activation and adoption
- Create company-specific client-facing collateral and user-level assets that make getting started in the platform a seamless experience
- Run merch, rewards, and incentive campaigns for conferences, clients, user trainings, and adoption pushes
- Post on LinkedIn about events and our in-person presence
- Run general and content-specific ad campaigns
- Develop event-level case studies, partnering with CS to turn the events we've supported into compelling (and where needed, anonymized) content
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience owning brand, events, or field marketing at a high-growth technology company
- A builder and a doer - equally comfortable running on-site logistics the day of an event and building an effective onboarding flow from scratch
- Strong storytelling instincts - translates product and customer wins into collateral and content that lands with users
- Excellent project management across many moving parts, vendors, and timelines at once
- Strong customer and user intuition - quickly identifies what's unclear for users and creates the assets to fix it
- Curious and high-agency - figures things out, doesn't wait to be told
- Comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration
- AI tools are a natural part of how you work
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience marketing a B2B SaaS or AI-native product
- An existing network in the events, meetings, or hospitality industry
- Track record of high-visibility speaker opportunities and conference presence for a brand
