ROLE SUMMARY
The Digital organization powers Pfizer with putting medicines in the hands of patients, while maintaining the highest standards of innovative digital solutions. The Digital PGS Creation Center Team enables Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) to win the digital race in pharma and provides innovative digital solutions that unleashes the power of our people by allowing them to focus their time on value-add activities. Our solutions accelerate key PGS initiatives and help PGS sites realize benefits of continuous improvement more rapidly. Solution Design & Adoption (SD&A) is a multidisciplinary team that enables End to End user experience efforts from the needs assessment through delivery and experience measurement, by using collaborative methods with a user-centered focus to ensure the best digital solutions are in the hands of our PGS and Digital PGS colleagues.
Our team consists of two main areas under which our disciplines are divided across. Solution Design focuses on User Research, Design Strategy, Product Design and Design Systems Framework. Solution Adoption focuses on Trainings, Communications and Change Management of our digital PGS solutions. Our team operates as a horizontal shared service to enable entire Digital PGS creation center. (Digital Manufacturing, Digital Quality, Digital Supply, & Digital Site Network)
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager - Value Insights & Design Strategy will lead projects across the Digital PGS Creation Centre, combining creative and analytical skills to ensure we design experiences that meet the needs of our users and are aligned to strategic organizational goals. This role is highly collaborative, working closely with all SD&A capabilities (UX Research, Product Design, Design Framework, Adoption) to achieve project objectives and operational excellence. The responsibilities of the Manager - Value Insights & Design Strategy include but are not limited to:
- Form clear and concise project plans ensuring all Design Strategy and Value Insights activities are understood, scoped and planned for • Lead and execute all key project phases including framing, current state mapping, data analysis (qual and quant), insight generation, future state mapping etc.
- Conduct qual and quant data gathering exercises (surveys, interviews, focus groups, workshops etc.) and generate meaningful, actionable data-driven insights / recommendations that increase Digital PGS' value impact (i.e., enhance user experience, increase solution effectiveness etc.)
- Translate insights and strategies into tangible design proposals and user requirements
- Design and facilitate stakeholder engagements that foster shared understanding of complex processes, enable alignment and drive strategic decision making
- Deliver project outputs and presentations with a high degree of polish and professionalism • Partner with contracted resources managing overall project execution, providing coaching and feedback where necessary
- Apply your extensive multi-disciplinary design knowledge to define methodologies, drive best practices and support the evolution of our Design Strategy and Value Insights capability
- Take ownership of accomplishing new and varied requests, exploring opportunities to add value to organizational accomplishments
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor's degree is required. An advanced degree would be a plus
- At least 5 years of experience in: Design Strategy, Value Insights, Service Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, Data Visualization, Applied Research, Design Research, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction etc. •
- High degree of proficiency in collaborative tools e.g. Miro
- Ability to collaborate actively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to conduct research that varies in approach, scale, scope, timeframe and methodology
- Ability to combine creative and analytical skills to deliver actionable outcomes and insights
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools primarily Figma and design systems
- Ability to assimilate knowledge at pace and switch context in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to bring clarity to complexity, distilling large quantities of data into meaningful insights •
- Enthusiasm, patience, and a solutions-oriented attitude toward any risks and challenges
- Comfort with ambiguity and complex problems
- Organized, able to act independently, and able to switch between different projects in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity in emergent technologies and how to apply them to different business challenges
- Ability to confidently present work and to accept or provide constructive feedback
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- UX, HFI, Agile, or equivalent certification
- Strong visual design skills
- Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing Industry experience a plus
