Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled revenue accountant (Manager, Revenue Accounting COE) to join our
Global Revenue and Contract Cost Accounting Center of Excellence.
In this role, you will work as part of a global team responsible for ensuring revenue, receivables and related contract costs are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP.
What you’ll do:
- Serve as the global revenue recognition subject matter expert (SME), ensuring consistent application of US GAAP (ASC 606/ASC 842) across the organization, including revenue, accounts receivable, and contract costs.
 - Consult and advise business units and finance teams on complex or nonstandard contracts, ensuring proper accounting treatment and operationalizing the accounting within the general ledger.
 - Develop, document, and maintain global standardized policies and processes for the revenue cycle, promoting policy alignment and adoption across all business units and product lines.
 - Collaborate with the technical accounting team and external auditors on new/emerging revenue issues, documenting accounting conclusions for complex or judgmental matters in detailed memorandums.
 - Design and monitor standardized reporting to ensure global policy compliance and proactively identify and address risks within related general ledger accounts.
 - Partner with Internal Audit to design and maintain effective internal controls (SOX) over the revenue recognition cycle, and create/deliver targeted training on revenue-related topics.
 
What you’ll bring:
- Experience & Education: A Bachelor's degree (Business, Finance/Accounting) is required, along with 4+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
 - Technical Expertise: Strong technical expertise in ASC 606 Revenue Recognition is mandatory (ASC 842 knowledge is a plus).
 - Credentials: CPA certification is strongly preferred.
 - Career Trajectory: Demonstrated career progression with positions of increasing scope and responsibility.
 - Systems Knowledge: Experience with major enterprise-wide applications and accounting systems (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce, OneStream) is a definite plus.
 - Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication and strong interpersonal skills to effectively partner with global teams and senior management.
 - Core Competencies: Proven ability to work independently and within a team, exhibiting strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a capacity for problem-solving and constructive conflict resolution.
