ABOUT THE TEAM

The Operational Support, Vendor Metrics and Shared Services team is responsible for the operational activities of the Procurement life cycle. In what is called the Procure-to-Pay sub-process, we ensure that the commercial terms of a contract are respected as negotiated by issuing Purchase Orders and paying invoices upon those. The team is also responsible for tracking and reporting on the Vendor Spend data in support of the different Stakeholders.

Reporting to the Director, Operational Support, Vendor Metrics and Shared Services, the incumbent will oversee the end-to-end purchase and payment process within the organization. This role ensures the efficient, timely, and compliant purchase of goods and services, and leads a team responsible for the full P2P cycle. The P2P XXX will collaborates with cross-functional departments to optimize processes, drive efficiency, and maintain strong internal controls.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Manager, Procure-To-Pay, you’ll: 

  • Lead and manage the Procure-to-Pay team, which includes purchasing, accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • Monitor the end-to-end P2P process, from requisition to purchase order to payment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Resolve discrepancies and issues between purchase orders, invoices, and receipts, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Analyze P2P metrics and KPIs, prepare reports for management, and recommend process improvements align with the evolution of the function

  • Ensure alignment between process improvement opportunities and Finance’s strategic objectives and performance targets

  • Support internal and external audits related to P2P activities

  • Champion the adoption of new technologies and automation tools to streamline the P2P process and ensure adherence by monitoring statistics control points

  • Approves purchase, Invoice and Payment and ensure compliance with the different internal controls, corporate procedures, guidelines, and policies

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Accounting team regarding accruals based on invoices and PO

  • Act as expert in terms of tax filing and tax charges

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Education

  • Diploma of College Studies in administration, accounting or finance

  • Operations and Production management training (an asset)

Experience

  • Minimum of (5) five years of experience in an AP team

  • Experience with the purchasing processes and ERP systems

Knowledge & Skills

  • Very good knowledge of the requisition-to-payment process

  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

  • Knowledge of D365 and GEP (an asset)

  • Excellent priority management

  • Highly developed organizational skills

  • Concern about the quality of customer service

  • Bilingualism English and French *Frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa
