Reporting to the Senior Director, Brand and Marketing Communications. The Manager, Corporate Communications will play a critical role in enhancing the company's reputation, managing external communications and supporting the organization's initiatives. With a focus on growing our business, he/she will be responsible for implementing the corporate communications strategies of Terrestar Solutions and its Strigo brand. The manager will be responsible for collaborating with various functions, managing corporate communications, various external events in order to increase brand visibility, reputation and market presence.
Main responsibilities:
Corporate Communications Management
- Ensure the deployment of communication and event strategies aligned with the company's objectives and business ambitions.
- Identify and leverage key communication channels to effectively reach target audiences.
- Identify innovative solutions to achieve the desired objectives.
- Implement corporate communications initiatives for product portfolios/team, including leading corporate event programs and executive communications.
Media relations and communication
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with media and crisis management activities, as required.
- Write press releases, respond to media inquiries and manage interviews with journalists.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage, propose adjustments to strategies accordingly.
- Guide the creation of relevant content for the various communication channels, including websites, social media, and other communication platforms.
- Ensure that all content is consistent with the company's tone of call, style and brand guidelines, in both English and French.
Coordination and collaboration
- Support the planning and execution of industry event sponsorships, public relations activities.
- Collaborate with Terrestar's various teams and stakeholders, including product and technology managers, go-to-market managers to ensure alignment of communication strategies with business objectives and ensure consistent and effective communication.
- Collaborate with external partners (web and digital media agencies, creative teams, and public relations).
- Track and measure the effectiveness of corporate communications initiatives – creation of KPI dashboards.
- Provide administrative management of corporate communications initiatives.
Assume any related responsibilities.
COMPETENCY PROFILE AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience/Certification
- Bachelor's degree in marketing communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or marketing communications.
- Proven experience in developing and executing corporate communications strategies aligned with corporate and business objectives.
- Experience in crisis management.
Other Qualifications:
- Mastery of reputation and brand management in a B2B and B2C business environment.
- Proficiency in digital communication channels and social media platforms.
- Understanding of business processes, technology and telecommunications.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Perfectly bilingual, both written and spoken (English, French).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Knowledge of digital tools such as: Google Analytics, Cision, Hubspot, Similar Web, (an asset).
