Job Description:

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm – In-Office

Salary: $42,900

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, providing support to our Business areas. In this role, you will work closely with other members of the Canadian Document Services team, in a production process to ensure service standards are met daily.

What will you do:

  • Daily mail distribution
  • Handling and sorting of mail delivered by Canada Post and courier packages from Purolator
  • Sorting of internal system generated output
  • Ensuring quality of material processed
  • Develop an understanding of end-to-end processes for Canadian Document Services
  • Communicate changes that could optimize or contribute to process enhancements
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude across all areas of Sun Life Financial
  • Identify and address customer and business needs

What do you need to succeed:

  • Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide
  • Ability to complete tasks with a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer service skills, team worker with a positive attitude
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Unique requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain Reliability Status through the Government of Canada before a start date can be confirmed (includes a background check with fingerprinting by the RCMP)
  • Ability to lift items weighing 50 to 75 lbs
  • Ability to work overtime with during periods of high work volume
  • Limited vacation during peak seasons

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
