Job Description

  • Manage various projects involving modifications to machinery and safety guard installations in our plants.
  • Coordinate project activities, manage their timelines and budgets.
  • Manage the bidding process for design and construction.
  • Award contracts through the purchasing department.
  • Plan and monitor the work.
  • Work closely with various engineering, health and safety, production, and maintenance departments.
  • Provide monthly reports on the progress of activities.

Qualifications

  • Project management experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Proficiency in English and French (oral and written)
  • Leadership skills
  • Must be available for travel
  • Detail-oriented, rigorous, and analytical
  • Strong organizational and priority management skills
  • Member of the OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate meetings with internal departments and external engineering firms
  • Experience in mechanical design
  • Knowledge of the RSST (Regulation respecting occupational health and safety) and various machine safety standards (an asset)
