Key Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate sophisticated M&A models, including merger models and accretion/dilution analyses, to support deal structuring and scenario planning.
- Perform comprehensive valuation analysis using DCF, trading comparables, and precedent transactions to inform negotiation strategies and investment decisions.
- Analyze strategic transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, and carve-outs, assessing financial and operational outcomes.
- Review and challenge key deal assumptions, quantifying synergies, risks, and value drivers to strengthen transaction cases.
- Build integrated operating models and conduct detailed transaction-related financial analysis for optimal decision-making.
- Lead or support financial due diligence by dissecting business performance, operating metrics, and cost structures.
- Present clear, actionable recommendations and findings through high-quality written summaries and presentations for senior stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in investment banking, M&A advisory, corporate development, or similar transaction-heavy finance roles.
- Deep expertise in merger modeling, advanced valuation methods, and financial statement analysis.
- Proven experience evaluating acquisitions, strategic transactions, or other complex financial initiatives.
- Strong ability to synthesize financial mechanics with broader strategic imperatives.
- Exceptional Excel modeling and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and impact in high-stakes environments.
- Self-motivated and disciplined to consistently deliver top-tier results in a remote work setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with tier 1 investment banks, elite boutiques, or high-performing corporate development teams.
- Background in carve-outs, synergy analysis, or industry-specific M&A transactions.
- Track record of supporting senior leadership with investment memos or strategic transaction recommendations.
