Priority-1, Inc. (“P1”) is a U.S. based freight services company that specializes in offering full service, nationwide logistics services to its customers and focuses on Less Than Truckload, Truckload and Expedited services. Priority-1 Canada, Inc. (“P1-Canada”) is P1’s newest business unit based in Montreal. P1-Canada is seeking a Carrier Sales Specialist - Canada to operate with this business unit with an emphasis on inbound and outbound Canadian shipments. 

About Us: P1 is a non-asset-based logistics brokerage provider that introduces proprietary technology to small, medium and large shippers to aid them in managing their transportation spend more efficiently. P1 leverages our volume of over 800,000 annual shipments to create unique partnerships with asset-based carriers in the North American freight market and seeks to expand such partnerships throughout Canada. P1-Canada is P1’s newest business unit aimed at expanding P1’s footprint across the Canadian territory and to increase its ability to service cross-border shipments.

The Carrier Sales Specialist is the operational support for our sales teams. The role is responsible for accurately quoting, building, and communicating updates for truckload opportunities. The role requires the ability to multi-task, problem solve and prioritize daily workload. Candidate must be able to overcome issues and resolve problems. Being customer centric and a sales advocate to our sales teams is a must. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, develop your logistics skills and collaborate with very talented people across our organization. Additional responsibilities include educating our sales teams how to quote and win more Truckload opportunities. Essential Functions, Role & Responsibilities

· Utilize TMS system as well as web based load boards to book and track shipments of freight

· Ability to multi-task and get accurate updates to sales reps / clients

· Negotiate rates with carriers

· Maintain 15% margin on loads

· Make minimum of 100 calls a day to book available loads

Qualifications & Skills

· Bilingual – French and English preferred

Compensation:

  • $45k base salary, plus commissions
  • RRSP 15% of your annual income
  • Unlimited Growth Potential
