Joignez notre équipe mondiale de doctrine juridique pour rechercher, créer, réviser et maintenir un contenu juridique de haute qualité pour des livres imprimés et numériques ainsi que pour des plateformes telles que La référence et Westlaw. Ce poste de début de carrière exige de solides compétences rédactionnelles et éditoriales ainsi qu'une gestion efficace des relations afin de maintenir notre collection de doctrine. Le poste est hybride, avec une présence au bureau requise 1 jour par semaine. Il est offert à Montréal ou à Toronto.
À propos du poste :
Dans ce rôle d'Éditeur juridique, vous serez amené à :
- Rechercher, examiner et maintenir le contenu de doctrine juridique, en soutenant les flux de travail et les projets pour les produits en ligne, imprimés et numériques.
- Gérer les relations avec des auteurs et d’autres interlocuteurs afin de respecter les calendriers de publication et les normes de qualité, et de garantir la livraison ponctuelle du contenu.
- Rester à jour sur les tendances juridiques et les développements du marché.
- Faire preuve d'expertise, d'efficacité et de curiosité dans l'utilisation de La référence et d'autres technologies de recherche juridique.
- Créer, réviser et mettre à jour de la documentation juridique. Identifier et organiser les principales questions juridiques. Vérifier l'exactitude et l'exhaustivité du contenu juridique.
- Mettre à profit vos connaissances et votre expérience juridiques pour tester et valider des solutions d'IA en collaborant avec diverses équipes afin de créer des données de référence (« gold data ») et de tester et noter les résultats des modèles.
- Établir les priorités et communiquer efficacement avec les parties prenantes dans le cadre de la production de contenu juridique, en comprenant les rôles et responsabilités de chaque collaborateur ou membre de l'équipe et l'incidence de chaque rôle sur le travail.
- Faire preuve de maîtrise des systèmes propres à l'entreprise nécessaires à l'exécution de vos fonctions et développer votre connaissance du contenu et des produits de Thomson Reuters, ainsi que de ceux des concurrents.
À propos de vous :
Vous correspondez au profil recherché pour le poste d'éditeur si vous possédez / êtes :
- Un diplôme en droit délivré par une faculté de droit accréditée (un diplôme en droit civil québécois est un atout important) ou un diplôme en techniques juridiques
- Une expérience en pratique juridique ou en édition juridique, ou une expérience équivalente, fortement souhaitée
- Un esprit d'initiative avec une aptitude pour la recherche et la rédaction juridiques, y compris une expérience avec La référence et d'autres produits utilisés pour la recherche juridique
- Un esprit analytique utilisant la logique et la collaboration pour résoudre des problèmes complexes
- Capacité à prendre des décisions de manière déterminée, avec un souci de qualité, d'efficacité et de productivité
- Capacité à interpréter, analyser, organiser et communiquer un matériel juridique complexe
- À l'aise dans un environnement en mouvance, dynamique et au rythme soutenu
- Capacité à établir des priorités entre les tâches et les projets et à les mener avec énergie et détermination
- Un coéquipier positif et flexible, prêt à travailler efficacement dans un environnement collaboratif
- Excellentes aptitudes de communication, à l'oral comme à l'écrit, avec tous les interlocuteurs, tant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur de Thomson Reuters

Legal Publisher - Commentary
Join our Global Legal Commentary team to source, create, edit, and maintain high-quality legal content for platforms like Westlaw, print, and Proview. This entry-level role requires strong editorial skills and effective relationship management to maintain our world-class Commentary collection. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office work 1 day per week. It is available in Toronto or Montréal.
About the Role:
In this opportunity as a Legal Publisher, you will:
- Source, review, and maintain legal commentary content, supporting workflows and projects for online, print, and e-book products.
- Manage third-party and internal relationships to adhere to publishing schedules and quality standards and ensure timely content delivery.
- Stay current with legal trends and market developments.
- Demonstrate expertise, efficiency, and curiosity in using Westlaw and other legal research technology.
- Create, edit, and update secondary legal content, including appendices, highlights, and other features. Identify and organize key legal issues. Verify accuracy and completeness of legal content.
- Leverage legal knowledge and experience to test and validate AI solutions by working across teams to create gold data, and test and grade model outputs.
- Prioritize work and communicate effectively with stakeholders in the production of legal content and understand the roles and responsibilities of each collaborator/team member and how each role impacts the work.
- Demonstrate competence on company specific systems necessary to perform your job functions and develop knowledge of Thomson Reuters content and products, as well as those of competitors.
About You:
You’re a fit for the role of Legal Publisher if you have/are:
- Law degree from an accredited law school required (Quebec Civil Law Degree preferred)
- Practice experience or legal editorial experience, or equivalent, strongly preferred; law review or journal experience preferred
- Self-starter with aptitude for legal research and writing, including experience using Westlaw and/or Practical Law and other products used for legal research
- Analytical thinker who uses logic and collaboration to solve difficult problems
- Decisive with a focus on making quality decisions efficiently and productively
- Ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and communicate complex legal material
- Comfortable working in a fluid, dynamic, and fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and projects and pursue them with energy and drive
- A positive teammate who is flexible and adaptable and will work successfully in a shared environment
- Strong communicator who can speak and write clearly and effectively with all contacts, both in and outside Thomson Reuters
- Proficiency in and familiarity with Microsoft Office 365
- Bilingual in French/English is an asset
