We are seeking a Legal Affairs Intern to support legal operations and contribute to compliance initiatives across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in legal research, document drafting, and corporate compliance within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct legal research related to company operations and provide clear, well-structured analysis
Draft and revise legal documents, including contracts, legal opinions, letters, and memos
Assist in organizing and preparing legal files and documentation
Support compliance initiatives and administrative tasks
Participate in meetings with internal clients and external partners
The role involves daily (or regular) communication with pan-Canadian stakeholders.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in law, with a strong interest in business law or commercial/civil litigation
Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research tools
Proactive, adaptable and effective in dynamic environments
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous legal experience, including internships or volunteer work, is an asset
