Job Summary

We are looking for a Lead Business Process Consultant to join our Corporate Finance PMO team. The candidate will drive process transformation across Finance Services and Solutions as a key member of our S4/Hana Implementation Program. They will lead cross-functional process re-design, integration, and improvement across various value streams to shape the FSS enterprise blueprint for S4/Hana. 

Your Impact

As Lead, Business Process Consultant, you will closely partner with FSS' Business Process Owner, S4 Transformation Program team and various Senior leaders to directly drive or support program objectives, identify program opportunities, and provide thought leadership. You will be accountable for achieving specific program savings goals, delivering program performance metrics and continuously stay ahead on emerging Business Process Improvement methodologies and trends.

You embody collaboration, have a high degree of flexibility to accommodate and support a range of team needs and dynamics, and can encourage and facilitate open and candid conversation within the team. You will act as a program lead, coordinating work across multiple workstreams, cooperating with the business stakeholders to ensure alignment, and collaborating to ensure that comprehensive solutions are implemented to meet expectations.  You will report to the Sr. Director, Corporate Finance PMO.

Specific Responsibilities

Project Execution

  • Independently scope program and break down into appropriate workstreams; identify resources needed for success, create clear problem statements, align the workstreams, and drive to completion
  • Set clear expectations with project teams and business owners and communicate effectively to drive positive results
  • Develop solutions to complex problems that require the frequent use of creativity, networking, and business/industry knowledge
  • Serve as a mentor to drive positive engagement results from cadenced coaching, showing a strong understanding of the program and methodology; identify resource & skill gaps; and focus on both strategic and technical aspects of project work
  • Prepare regular project status reports, deliver progress updates to stakeholders, lead SteerCo meetings and maintain project documentation and artifacts as needed
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and working relationships with various teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Thought Leadership

  • Provide strategic thought leadership on driving business goals for the S4/Hana transformation Program
  • Engage with executive and leadership stakeholders to gain support, influence decision-making and ensure project alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with the relevant functional leadership and build in-depth knowledge of the strategic priorities for each functional area and understand how they operate.
  • Ability to absorb and process large quantities of disparate information, synthesize quickly, and connect dots across workstreams where appropriate
  • Support business case development with input from all relevant stakeholders and support the business to present to leadership team for approval.

Change Leadership

  • Champion for change to ensure adoption of solutions across the organization
  • Act as a change lead, if one is not assigned on the program

Job Qualifications

Desired Skills:

  • Communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
  • Listening skills and emotional intelligence to read and interpret team dynamics
  • Ability to facilitate crucial team conversations that address barriers/drivers of team performance
  • Proven track record of results from the application of process improvement and redesign methodologies and effective change management
  • Exhibits confidence and is comfortable with ambiguity
  • Able to develop innovative solutions with a results orientation
  • Shows a clear capacity to embrace ownership of work and work autonomously

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • PMP certification or MBA will be considered as an asset
  • Presentation and facilitator skills
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Knowledge S4/HANA

Degree, certification, and experience

  • 4 Year Degree in engineering, business, or related fields. Requires 10+ years of professional experience
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt preferred, with a strong working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean process improvement methodologies.
  • Work is performed mostly remotely, with timely on-site presence to the hub or location for collaborative engagement
  • May require travel outside your hub or location

Career Level: P5

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$128,800 - $214,600
