We're seeking someone to join our team as a Labs Data Science Full Stack Developer to analyze unstructured data, access firm APIs, create intuitive tools, and informative reports to better advise senior leaders across the Firm.

Our mission as a group is to unlock the full potential of Morgan Stanley Innovation Labs by taking data from multiple sources across the Firm; other groups and tools within labs and providing new tools and insights to make critical business decisions for process optimization while keeping in alignment of Firm SDLC and compliance best practices. We will enhance the Labs's capabilities by identifying and executing growth-oriented, technology-led strategies, and data driven decision making, pushing forth firm wide innovation.

This is a Lead Infrastructure Production Management & Reliability Engineering position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for maintaining the stability and reliability of the organization's infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability to support business operations.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Implement various Labs projects by collaborating with Innovation Labs stakeholders, collecting business intelligence data from multiple sources, and building new dashboards, reports and tools.

  • Analyze data and identify trends to present actional insights to the Labs's leadership and support strategic decision-making.

  • Prepare analytical reports to summarize findings and share with the appropriate stakeholders using PowerPoint through established communication processes.

  • Own the data governance process: Develop methods to improve data collection and metric calculation across the Innovation organization, ensuring the data is accurate and fit for purpose.

  • Maintain and upscale existing internally developed tools, reports, and dashboards created ReadyWorks/ORDO, Python, and JIRA.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 6 + years of experience in a software development role.

  • Familiar with Software development CICD best practices.

  • Functional programming knowledge in SQL, Python, and JavaScript. PHP is a bonus but not required.

  • Experience building reports, dashboards, and forms with firm tools: JIRA, Indigo...

  • Demonstrated research skills and experience discerning powerful insights from various sources of data.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation skills.

  • Ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in Technology.

  • Driven to do research and ask questions when facing new problems.
