Job Description

We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team in Gatineau, QC from Monday to Friday starting at 8:00am until 5:00pm. As a Labourer, you will play a vital role in our daily operations by receiving different types of metals, performing an initial classification, and directing them to the appropriate locations.

You will be responsible for:

  • Greet customers courteously and follow all procedures and requirements.
  • Assist in unloading materials and sort various metals based on their characteristics.
  • Inspect customer metals, identify metal types, and validate their quality.
  • Weigh metals using the scale and enter data into the RECY software.
  • Operate various types of machinery (e.g., forklift) and prepare receiving/shipping tickets.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the premises and perform any other related tasks.

Qualifications

To join our team:

  • You have 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role and knowledge of metal recycling (a major asset).
  • You have forklift experience (a major asset)
  • You are bilingual (an asset) 
  • You are versatile, resourceful, and able to adapt to various tasks.
  • You are a team player with strong skills in managing priorities.
  • You provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude.
