Junior CRM & Business Development Associate

KreaMedica Inc. is a Montreal-based company that develops novel medications on behalf of international biotech and pharma partners (https://kreamedica.com). We use a functional outsourcing business model and work with U.S.-based and Canadian CROs and CDMOs. Via KreaConnect, we bring the Airbnb business model to biotech: a simple tool to engage seasoned industry veterans to provide regulatory, toxicology, CMC, or other drug development-related expertise.

We are seeking a highly organized, digitally fluent junior professional to support our business development and CRM operations. This role is ideal for a scientifically trained individual interested in transitioning into biotechnology business development, strategic partnerships, and life sciences networking.

The successful candidate will help maintain and optimize our HubSpot CRM system, support outreach to historical and prospective contacts, assist with conference follow-up activities, and contribute to relationship-building efforts across the biotech ecosystem.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

CRM Management & Commercial Operations

  • Maintain, organize, clean, and enrich the HubSpot CRM database
  • Update contacts, companies, LinkedIn interactions, and CRM activities
  • Identify duplicate, incomplete, or outdated records and recommend improvements to CRM data quality.
  • Prepare segmented contact lists for outreach, conference follow-up, and targeted business development campaigns.
  • Assist with preparation of marketing and networking materials
  • Generate simple CRM and pipeline activity reports

Business Development Support

  • Reconnect with historical contacts and inactive leads in a thoughtful, professional manner.
  • Support business development by coordinating conference invitations
  • Support business development follow-up after conferences and networking events
  • Schedule introductory meetings for senior business development personnel
  • Conduct basic research on biotech companies, CROs, CDMOs, and potential partners
  • Support relationship management activities with consultants and strategic partners

 

AI-Enabled Research & Workflow Support

  • Use AI-enabled productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and related platforms to support research, drafting, summarization, CRM note organization, and outreach preparation.
  • Explore practical uses of AI agents, automation platforms, and no-code tools to improve repeatable business development workflows.
  • Apply sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and exercise quality control when using AI-assisted tools.
  • Continuously learn new digital tools and suggest practical improvements to CRM and business development processes.

Travel Planning & Itineraries

  • Organize and coordinate meetings, conferences, and events.
  • Manage travel expenses and reconcile receipts in a timely manner
  • Compile and file all travel and other expense reports.

QUALIFICATIONS, QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong computer literacy and confidence in working with digital tools, cloud-based platforms, online research, and structured data.
  • Strong working proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is essential, including clean formatting, contact lists, tables, sorting, filtering, basic formulas, and preparation of professional documents.
  • Experience with CRM platforms is required; HubSpot experience is strongly preferred.
  • Dedicated and meticulous, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • BSc or MSc in life sciences, biotechnology, pharmacology, biochemistry, or a related discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French language skills are considered an asset
  • Comfortable interacting with senior professionals in the biotech industry.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Experience with HubSpot, LinkedIn, or other CRM platforms is preferred.
  • Interest in biotechnology business development and strategic partnerships.
