Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Financial Analyst to join our Partner FP&A team at Nuvei, a leader in payment processing solutions. This entry-level role will support the financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting functions for the business, while providing actionable insights to help guide key decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for finance in the fast-paced and evolving payments industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses.
- Support the development of financial models and analyses to evaluate business performance and trends.
- Help in the preparation and analysis of key financial reports.
- Maintain and update financial systems, tools, and reports used for analysis and decision-making.
- Assist in financial reconciliation and reporting processes to ensure accuracy and alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Marketing, and Product) to gather relevant financial data for reporting and analysis.
- Contribute to the creation of presentations and reports for senior management & board of directors, providing insights on financial performance and forecasting.
- Help track KPIs and provide regular updates on financial metrics to internal stakeholders.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in financial analysis or a related field; experience in a payments or financial services industry is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including financial modeling, pivot tables, and advanced formulas).
- Familiarity with financial reporting systems and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaborate with different teams.
