We’re seeking someone to join our Commodities Technology team as a Tech Lead to design, build, develop and evolve scalable trading technology platforms supporting global commodities markets and drive modernization initiatives across the technology landscape.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Lead Software Engineering position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Work across the full software development lifecycle, from problem analysis and solution design through hands-on coding, delivery, and production support
  • Lead technical design discussions and shape scalable, resilient, and maintainable system architectures aligned with long-term platform strategy
  • Act as a technical leader within Agile squads, mentoring developers and driving engineering best practices across the team
  • Participate in and contribute to strategic renovation initiatives, including modernization of technology stacks and reduction of technical debt
  • Advance DevOps practices through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and operational excellence improvements
  • Collaborate closely with business users and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions
  • Partner with global technology teams and leverage firmwide platforms and capabilities to deliver integrated solutions
  • Support and enhance systems across the Commodities technology landscape, including trading lifecycle, risk, market data, and settlements
  • Ensure high standards of code quality, system reliability, and production stability through continuous improvement

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to drive solution design, lead technical discussions, and influence engineering direction
  • 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including significant design and architectural responsibility for complex applications in enterprise-scale environments
  • Strong understanding of functional programming concepts, design patterns, n-tier architecture, and service-oriented design
  • Experience with technologies such as Python, Shell scripting, or Scala is helpful; experience working in Linux environments is desirable
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in global teams
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong motivation to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Financial Services or Commodities is a plus
