Job description

The team develops software solutions for major financial markets in the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Solutions must be competitive in order to develop or consolidate our market share, launch new products, and seize opportunities. We promote an Agile culture on a scale rarely explored.

Responsibilities

  • Study, analyze, and estimate user stories in the area of equity financing trading systems;

  • Guide technical/non-technical solutions, evaluate tactical or strategic approaches, and assess the timeline for solutions;

  • Coordinate with business analysts and end users to understand development needs and obtain validations;

  • Develop code artifacts, deployment plans, and technical upgrades in accordance with development standards;

  • Coordinate with users to produce a comprehensive test plan and develop user validation criteria. Actively participate in analyzing and documenting test results and review with end users;

  • Participate in large software implementations covering quarterly upgrades and the deployment of new features;

  • Develop/implement reports and extractions for internal users upon request.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience: JAVA, Angular, IBM/RabbitMQ, Springboot, GitHub, Jenkins, SQL, SQL Server, Docker, Kubernetes, REST API;

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent;

  • More than 3 years of experience in a similar role;

  • Ability to work with complex information systems;

  • Collaborative skills and team spirit;

  • Organizational skills, methodical, analytical;

  • Communication skills;

  • Experience in corporate and investment banking or finance is a real asset;

  • Knowledge of the world of market finance (equity markets, interest rates, derivatives, etc.) is an asset;

  • Architecture skills are an asset for the role;

  • Knowledge of Azure is an asset

Excellent communication skills in French and English. English is required, as the role involves communicating with clients located outside Quebec.
