IT Technical Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Supports and maintains PC operations including the diagnosis of hardware or software failure.
• Global Technology support for multiple sites in region.
• Assists Corporate IT with diagnosing and resolving network and server issues.
• Communicates local requirements that must be met and assist in the delivery of the final solution.
• Maintains hardware and software in compliance with corporate standards.
• Acts as the liaison with vendors to repair or replace hardware.
• Supports help-desk function for internal and remote users.
• Reviews, selects, and recommends equipment and software that may be required in the lab space.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Some University education in an Applied Science or a related discipline plus generally two years of directly related experience.
• Demonstrated ability and knowledge of computer systems including network infrastructure and servers
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and demonstrated high level organizational and multi-tasking skills in a technical environment.
