Job Responsibilities:
As an IT Support Student, you will play a vital role in implementing IT projects on our production floor to enhance efficiency and quality. You will join a mature team where attention to detail, organization, and a strong technical foundation are essential. In this role, you will support all areas of IT, including system updates, troubleshooting, and hands-on support for end users. You will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to Industry 4.0 smart factory initiatives through supporting roles and project participation.

Salary Range: $19.45 to $24.89 per hour

- Maintain physical IT infrastructure as required, including servers, printers, and network switches.
- Provide maintenance and support for all Windows Server platforms.
- Deliver technical support for desktop operating systems and end users.
- Assist with quoting, purchasing, installing, and maintaining PC applications in accordance with standard specifications.
- Maintain and support backup systems.
- Provide support for Microsoft 365, Copilot, and Microsoft Teams.
- Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records for all IT equipment.
- Provide technical support through the Matrix42 ticketing system.
- Participate in the design, development, and/or implementation of new technologies to improve productivity and system stability, in line with corporate standards.
- Follow all departmental procedures and company policies.
- Participate in Industry 4.0 initiatives and gain exposure to IoT development processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by department leadership.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Enrolled in a Computer Science, Network Administration, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with Python, REST APIs, or .NET is considered an asset.
- Fundamental knowledge of software, hardware, networking, and AI prompting concepts.
- Working toward or completed Microsoft or Cisco certifications is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex issues and derive solutions.
- Proficiency with a range of computer-based frameworks and technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
