About This Role

Omniscient Digital is growing fast, and with that growth comes an increasing need for expert-level insight in highly technical and regulated industries. We're seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to consult on content related to enterprise risk, audit, compliance, and information security.

Your expertise will guide our team in producing accurate, relevant, and insightful materials for practitioners and decision-makers. You’ll play a key role in reviewing content, providing feedback, and ensuring all material aligns with the audience's real-world challenges and pain points.

Responsibilities

• Review content for technical accuracy and practical relevance across topics such as enterprise risk management, compliance, audits, and infosec.

• Provide feedback to ensure content aligns with the needs and expectations of senior stakeholders including IT leaders, compliance managers, audit teams, and risk executives.

• Ensure alignment with evolving regulatory frameworks, including emerging standards and industry best practices (e.g., IIA Standards, TPRM, AI governance).

• Advise on the strategic concerns of enterprise audiences, such as:

  • Managing audits and compliance at scale

  • Navigating fragmented or siloed risk programs

  • Ensuring efficient cross-functional collaboration

  • Addressing resource constraints in high-stakes environments

• Comment on current and emerging industry trends, such as:

  • AI & automation in risk and compliance workflows

  • Continuous controls monitoring & compliance

  • Cybersecurity strategy and incident readiness

• Offer insights on enterprise customer priorities, pain points, and decision-making behavior

Ideal Experience & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in risk management, compliance, internal audit, cybersecurity, or IT governance at an enterprise level

• Deep understanding of regulatory challenges, frameworks, and audit processes within large, complex organizations

• Familiarity with enterprise GRC tools and methodologies, including third-party risk, continuous monitoring, and risk appetite frameworks

• Comfort advising on content designed for stakeholders, such as:

  • Audit Managers / Directors

  • Chief Risk Officers (CROs)

  • CISOs and Infosec teams

  • Compliance Managers / Officers

  • Directors of IT / Security

• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical detail into clear, actionable guidance

• Up-to-date knowledge of emerging risk and compliance trends, including AI governance, cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory complexity, and evolving assurance models

• Experience in consulting or advising cross-functional enterprise teams is a plus
