This is a hands-on, collaborative senior technologist role working closely with the Solution Architecture team (delivery-focused), application and platform owners, Data & Analytics, and Infrastructure/Security teams to define target-state architecture, governance, standards, and roadmaps that improve scalability, integration, and decision-making across the enterprise.

This role will also chair key technology committees and drive architecture governance for major initiatives—ensuring solutions are secure, cost-effective, supportable, and aligned with Sanimax’s strategic direction.

Why join Sanimax
  • Competitive salary and annual bonus

  • Group RRSP and comprehensive benefits program

  • Permanent, full-time position

  • Hybrid work arrangement

  • Full group insurance plan (dental, medical, life, disability, etc.)

  • Telemedicine and Employee Assistance Program

  • Paid sick days

  • On-site gym

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture Practice Build-Out

  • Define and implement the EA operating model (principles, standards, decision forums, reference architectures, and documentation patterns).

  • Develop the foundational EA artifacts: target-state architecture, transition states, technology portfolio views, and risk/technical debt visibility.

  • Create measurable EA outcomes (e.g., reduced integration complexity, technology rationalization, improved delivery consistency).

Roadmaps & Strategic Direction

  • Create and maintain multi-year roadmaps across key domains: ERP, integration, data platform, applications, infrastructure, and security.

  • Translate strategy into sequenced initiatives with clear dependencies, costs, and expected business value.

  • Introduce and evolve Business Architecture by building capability maps and aligning investment decisions to business priorities.

Architecture Governance & Technology Committees

  • Chair technology/architecture committees, facilitating decisions and ensuring follow-through (standards adoption, exceptions management, and risk treatment).

  • Establish architecture review processes that support delivery speed while protecting long-term maintainability.

  • Drive technology rationalization: reduce redundancy, simplify the portfolio, and guide decommission/migration plans.

Collaboration with Delivery + Platform Teams

  • Partner closely with Solution Architects to ensure delivery designs align to enterprise standards and target state.

  • Work with application/platform owners to improve lifecycle management, vendor alignment, and platform health.

  • Collaborate with Data & Analytics on enterprise data architecture, data platform direction, and governance alignment.

  • Collaborate with Infrastructure/Security to embed resiliency, security controls, and operational readiness into architectures.

ERP, Integration & Data Architecture Leadership (Core Focus)

  • Provide enterprise architecture leadership for the ERP ecosystem, including roadmap direction, integration patterns, and supporting platforms.

  • Lead architecture direction for the Enterprise Integration Platform (patterns, interfaces, monitoring, reuse, and integration governance).

  • Align enterprise application architecture with the data platform (data flow, master data, analytics readiness, data quality).

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • Architecture certifications are a plus (e.g., TOGAF), but practical delivery and governance impact matter most.

  • Enterprise Architecture experience in a complex environment (multi-site, multi-system, integrated landscape).

  • Strong experience with ERP ecosystems (implementation, modernization, integration, and governance).

  • Proven experience with an Enterprise Integration Platform, including integration patterns and governance.

  • Strong experience with data platforms (data warehouse/lake/lakehouse concepts, pipelines, data governance alignment).

  • Practical knowledge of architecture disciplines: application, integration, data, and infrastructure, including security considerations.

  • Ability to lead committees, influence stakeholders, and drive decisions across IT and business partners.

  • Strong communication and documentation skills to produce clear artifacts: roadmaps, principles, reference architectures, and standards.
