DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Conduct a wide variety of quantitative analyses and provide the underlying research necessary for client and investor presentations. Conduct public and private valuation analyses of major corporations. Assess capital structure alternatives, restructuring strategies, and valuation enhancing alternatives. Prepare historical and projected financial statements and market performance analyses. Build and apply valuation models which include comparable company analyses, discounted cash flow analyses, and comparable acquisitions analyses. Build merger models and conduct pro forma impact analysis. Perform extensive due diligence sessions with company management in preparation of corporate transactions. Maintain client communication and coordinate activity between J.P. Morgan, third party advisors and the client. This position requires up to 20% domestic travel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as Investment Banker, Financial Analyst, Senior Financial Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Investment Banker, Financial Analyst, Senior Financial Consultant, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: corporate finance and accounting; public and private company takeovers; analyzing mergers and acquisitions transaction structures, legal structuring and tax aspects; buy-side, sell-side and structured M&A transactions; M&A documentation including: non-disclosure agreements, engagement letters, term sheets, fairness opinion letters, relationship disclosure letters, offer letters, and process letters; detailed financial modeling including business operating models and pro forma merger models; performing the following forms of analyses: value creation analysis, combination analysis, internal rate of return analysis, sum-of- the-parts and synergy analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, comparable companies and precedent transaction valuation analysis, and premiums paid analysis; analyzing merger agreements; facilitating private and public company due diligence; financial market data tools including Microsoft Office Suite, Bloomberg, FactSet, and VDR providers.
Job Location: 560 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94105. This position requires up to 20% domestic travel.
Full-Time. Salary: $200,000 - $225,000 per year.
